Take one book nightly...

I've always used books to self medicate against stress, the greater the stress the 'nicer' the book I prescribe myself. During my university finals I had a pile of my old Enid Blyton's and pony stories under the bed and as 2011 has been more than a tad stressful so far perhaps it explains my recent foray from Heat over to Sweet in listening (yes, listening! M&B audiobooks have returned to the UK :-)
Listening to Jessica Hart charmed and soothed me as much as any trip to a magic land at the top of a tree. In "Cinderella's Wedding Wish" the heroine likes dogs better than men and her dream is to renovate a dilapidated cottage in the middle of nowhere and to live in isolation. Now why does that sound familiar?
On a completely different note below are some pictures of my dogs and the house I renovated, er... Although I have to say when I was hanging off a ladder painting the guttering no handsome millionaire swooped in to catch me and offer to help with the DIY.
Ah well, we can live in hope, which I'm thinking is rather the point...

I just love your furbabies and that cottage just looks like something out of a postcard!

I had that book too Lorraine and I read it until it fell apart! The exact same edition!
Your cottage and your dogs look fabulous. Sorry to hear you've not had a good 2011 so far, had hoped this year would be an improvement for you on the year before.
Hope things make an improvement for you. Do you think you'll make the RNA this year?

Wonderful pics, Lorraine!

Hope it's not too much longer until you're free from some of the nasty health issues.

Thanks for the book recommend.

Thanks Jo C and Lacey, amazingly my camera and charger were in the same place at Christmas!

Hi Susan, at least there is plenty of time left for 2011 to improve. Will def be at the RNA conference (civil war, nuclear explosions and death excepting!) and we can celebrate your success :-)

Hey sweetie! Was wondering how you were getting on. Glad to hear you found some M&B on audio - such a pain eh? Love the photos!

Seeing that really gorgeous cottage I'm thinking all it needs is a handsome millionaire swooping down to help with the guttering... Then again if he was a Modern Heat handsome millionaire, he'd probably offer to help you with something other than the guttering!

Happy New Year Lorraine!

Thanks Jackie, apart from falling down the stairs and being in chronic pain I'm fine thanks :-) Nice to see you again too, still crossing my fingers for you to hear something great back about the frenchman!

Great idea Heidi, I'm thinking I need a Romance hero and a Modern Heat hero - although maybe that would be one for Carina ;-)
